Verdict, The (Motion picture) - (1946) Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre star in a murder mystery. After appearing for the first time together in The Maltese Falcon (1941) (in what was also Greenstreet's first movie role) they made eight more films together, ending with this one. Greenstreet plays Police Superintendant Grodman, who inadvertently sends an innocent man to his death, Peter Lorre plays his friend, a writer, Victor Emmric. Citations: 1.
