Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The
(British two-reel shorts)
- (1921). Directed by Maurice Elvey from scripts by WJ Elliot. Eille Norwood played Sherlock Holmes and Hubert Willis was Doctor Watson. Followed in 1922 with Further Adventures and in 1923 with Last Adventures, both adapted by George Ridgewell. These three series cover nearly all the Holmes stories then available.
