BLOTS ON THE LANDSCAPE Page 2

Photos uploaded April 22, 2006 (Saturday)

A great many litter sightings today...but most of them were too mundane to feature here. I had mentioned in previous reports that a couple of houses had had litter in their yards for at least three days. I'm pleased to report that the litter is still there, undisturbed. It is nice to know the home-owners don't believe in harassing their litter.

I prefer the living, breathing species.

"Look, ma! We're in a parking lot! Perfect time to clean out the car!"

Close up of the new additions.

Dozens of people every day walk or jog on this short path between two housing areas. That cap and straw have been there for three days.

Photos uploaded April 20, 2006:

This plastic bottle has been here for three days. People walk and jog along these paths on a daily basis, but apparently they just walk right past this without caring. If it's still there tomorrow (anyone want to bet that it won't be?) I'll throw it away myself.

The sidewalk adjacent to a manmade pond, early in the day. After taking this photo I picked up the can and threw it in the bin.

The same sidewalk, a couple of hours later. (I make several rounds with my bike each day.) Obvioiusly someone had this red cup in a car and couldn't stand to have it cluttering up their car another second.

I saw this torn up paper on a lawn three days ago. At that time three teens were on the porch of the house, chattering away. Neither they or the parents within the house seem inclined to pick up the litter decorating their lawn.

Someone was here, either looking at the ducks or doing some fishing. They left the cup behind. (The brown streaks are pollen.)
