The Triskelion - Re-enact Famous 1950s Sci-Fi Film Moments Contest closed September 30, 2007 Despite over 100 views of the contest page, there were no entries. That leaves $100 in the kitty for our next contest, which we'll announce soon. 1st Prize 2nd Prize 3rd Prize $100 $50 $25 If you're a film maker, an artist, or a creative of any kind, join in the Triskelion contest to re-create any moment(s) you please from a 1950s science fiction classic - your choice from The Alligator People to The World The Flesh and The Devil. Submit a film between 2-5 minutes long, or a film of a single piece of artwork or series of artworks, or of something that re-creates, re-interprets or re-invents a classic moment, a favorite moment, funniest or most dramatic moment. All the choices are up to you! All entries will be uploaded as they are received. All entries must be PG-rated. The non-refundable entry fee is $5.00, payable in advance. The contest lasts from September 1 - 30, 2007. Voting will be open from October 1- 15, by the readers of The Thunder Child. All votes will show up beside each entry, no voter will be allowed to vote more than once. On October 16 the names of the winners will be announced, and the prizes awarded via Paypal. Interviews with the three winners will subsequently be uploaded to The Thunder Child. Don't miss your opportunity to become a part of classic film history! Or just have some fun! If there are less than 10 entries when the contest closes, no money will be awarded. Contest winners will receive instead prizes consisting of Sci Fi DVDs or books. We'll present each winner with a list of 10 choices, from which the 1st place can first choose two, then the 2nd place chooses two from the remaining, and 3rd place, two more from what remains. But we'd rather give the money away, so everybody enter!
