Cecere is author of such regional books as They Behaved Like Soldiers: Captain John Chilton and the Third Virginia Regiment 1775-1778 and An Officer of Very Extraordinary Merit: Charles Porterfield and the American War for Independence: 1775-1780.

Nelson's latest book is Benedict Arnold's Navy. He's written several fiction books as well, including his Revolution at Sea series, By Force of Arms, The Maddest Idea and Continental Risque.
