Revolutionary war re-enactors re-create the cease-fire of the British army, in which they flew the white flag requesting a truce, bringing an end to the bombardment by the Allied armies and beginning the noegotiations to surrender the army. |

Recreation of March to Surrender Field. Follow the Britsh army re-enactors as they re-create the 1-1/2 mile march of Cornwallis' army from Yorktown, along Surrender Road, to the field where the British surrendered in 1781. As it was in 1781, Surrender Road will be lined wiht Allied army re-enactors as the British torrops approach Surrender Field. While walking to Surrender Field, listsen to the 18th-centruy military marches that may hve been plkayed during the actual march out of the British Army. |
