Tim Russ
Tim Russ was born on June 22, 1956, in Washington, DC.
Tim played the Vulcan Lieutenant Tuvok in Star Trek: Voyager from 1995-2001.
Along with Marc Alaimo, Rosalind Chao, Jeffrey Combs, John de Lancie and Jonathan Frakes, he is one of only six actors to appear in ten different seasons of "Star Trek": "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) Season Six, "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993) Seasons Two and Three and "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995) Seasons One through Seven.
Along with Armin Shimerman and Ethan Phillips, he is one of only three Star Trek regulars to appear in three different "Star Trek" series (Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) and Star Trek: Voyager (1995)).
He is the only actor who has appeared in Star Trek to share scenes with Six captains: William Shatner and Alan Ruck in Star Trek: Generations (1994), Patrick Stewart in the Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) episode "Starship Mine", Avery Brooks in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) episodes "Invasive Procedures" and "Through the Looking Glass" and Kate Mulgrew in every episode of Star Trek: Voyager (1995). Next, at four captains, is Jonathan Frakes, who did not appear with Alan Ruck ("Captain John Harriman"). Star Trek: Voyager (1995) episode "Flashback" George Takei was "Captain Sulu" of the Excelsior.
Around the time of the 1986-1987 casting call for the "Geordi LaForge" role on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), he played an extra on the sci-fi comedy Spaceballs (1987).
