Clive Cussler
Cussler was born on July 15, 1931, in Aurora, Illinois.
He is an author, the creator of NUMA agent Dirk Pitt. He wrote two books featuring that character before the "breakout" book, Raise the Titanic, made his fortune.
Cussler's books are "techno-thrillers" rather than science fiction, but there are science fiction elements in many of them. |

Nina Bara
Nina Bara was born on May 3, 1920, in Buenos Aires, Argentina and died of cancer on August 15, 1990, in Glendale, California.
Nina had only a few credits before winning the role of Tonga on the early science fiction show Space Patrol (starring Ed Kemmer as Commander Buzz Corry) from 1951-1955.
In 1958 she played Alpha in the movie Missile to the Moon, her final performance on the small or large screen.
