Jan Merlin
Jan was born on April 3, 1925, in New York, NY.
Jan began acting after he got out of the service after WWII, and earned the role as Roger Manning in Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. He left the show after the first couple of years to avoid being typecast, but would return for the final season.
After that, he guest-starred, usually as a villain, in dozens of TV shows, before becoming a writer for a soap opera, Another World for which he won a Daytime Emmy.
He had had several fiction books published.
