PRODUCTION HISTORY

Up until the early 1930s, it was common practice for several versions of the same movie to be filmed simultaneously. Three versions of Floating Platform #1 Doesn't Answer were made - the English version starred Conrad Veidt, the French version starred Charles Boyer, and the German version featured Hans Albers, with Peter Lorre in a small part.

MY REVIEW

I wanted to enjoy this movie - but it is soooo slow. I enjoyed Conrad Veidt's scenes, but the scenes without him aren't gripping enough. Veidt's German accent is very thick - but it's always fun to try to figure out what he's saying. He does have a few memorable scenes in which he displays his acting ability.
